House Bill to Suspend A-76 for Three Years

The House last month passed the 2010 Defense Authorization bill with an AFGE-backed provision that would impose a three-year ban on public-private job competitions while the new administration reviews the process. It would suspend all pending A-76 studies until the department can review and determine if they should continue. The bill would also put an 18-month time limit on all future A-76 studies.

Cynthia Ennis has served as Executive Vice President of Local 1923 for over 20 years and was elected as President in August, 2003. Cynthia is fervently committed and dedicated to the labor movement.
In her position, Cynthia will move full speed ahead and address some of the serious challenges currently facing the federal workforce. Issues such as personnel reform, contracting out, pay parity, the stripping away of bargaining rights, and continually rising health insurance premiums are just to name a few.
